Policy Based Routing

Hi Team,

I am looking to enable a policy based routing on the Sophos XG firewall.

Details as per below:

Current Setup:

-----> WAN 1 (Active)

Lan ---> Firewall |

------> WAN 2 (Backup)

I would like to forward 1 specific VLAN - /24 IP range to use WAN 2.

I understand that we can achieve this using the policy based routing.

However, I would need the VLAN use WAN 1 if WAN 2 fails. Like a manual failover.

Will that happen if I were to use policy-based routing.

Any help would be much appreciated.

why don't you use firewall rules with primary and secondary networks?

Hi,

Thank you very much for the feedback.

I would want that service to failover back to the primary Circuit when the secondary circuit fails.

How can I achieve that? I know we can do that on a PBR.
