How to block some users to access to the Intranet?

Hello,

I need to create some users becouse they have to navigate with our public IP, so I want to create a policy or something to block our intranet and only let them surf to the internet.

Thank you.

  • Hi,

we need a little more information about your setup. Are you using an AD and do the users authenticate to the AD to access the internet.

How are the users identified and how are their devices identified?

  • Hi,

We use an AD but the users authenticate with the VPN without that. A simple user and pass. I identify them with groups.

    Thank you,

  • Hi,

are the users in unique group of IP addresses that can be controlled with firewall rules?

There is the more complex way of using STAS. I would suggest you search the KBAs for advice on how configure that feature.

  • No, I only have the users with the default groups (Open group). Is there any option to set in a selected user a rule/group that cannot see anything from the Intranet but can surf to the internet? I'm novice in SOPHOS. Sorry.
