why do i get an auth popup for 10.255.0.1.8091?

when accessing webpages with advertisment which are blocked, i get an authentication popup for 10.255.0.1:8091. I think its the Port for catpive portal, but i have it configured for a blockpage not for redirect.

Any idea?

    Just to follow up.

     

    When you have Authentication\Services\"Prompt unauthenticated users to log in" turned on:

    If you are have NTLM configured, it will try to do an NTLM login.

    If you do not have NTLM configured, it will display a block page which has a link to log in.
