Accuracy of Traffic Dashboard

How can I dig in to the accuracy of the Traffic Dashboard. Today I called my broadband provider to find out why I was being charged with overages. They are claiming that I am using more than I am seeing in the report. For example From 12:00AM 5-1-19 through about 30 minutes ago, they show I have used 30.6GB but I only see 16.55 GB in the firewall. How can I get more info on this and contest this with the provider?

Thank you

  • Hi Super CM,

I have been checking my ISP account for another issue and thought I would check your question out.

My ISP shows I downloaded 1.08gb and uploaded 136mb yesterday. XG wan link report shows total data for the day of 1.08gb

So next step, check last months data usage. Biling period 3 April - 4 May, then try to generate a custom report in XG fail you cannot generate a report for greater than 30 days, you cannot generate a custom report for less than 7 days what the heck????

So I will check tomorrow's ISP report against the XG wan link report.

And just to be a really useless report it shows dates in US format not local format. Date range  4 March to 3 April comes out as 3/4 and 4/3.

  • For April, this is what I see (below) - which seems like its wrong since it says there was no upload traffic for multiple days (and this doesn't match what the isp says. Additionally this number doesn match the (even smaller) info in the Traffic Report.
