XG for home - CPU usage 100% issue

How do I determine what is causing the CPU to go to 100%? I restarted the FW and the CPU jumps to 100%. I can't get it to go any lower.

I am using 17.5.3 MR-3.

Not sure how long this has been going on. The CPU usage is causing the internet browsing to be slow. I turned off web filtering.

The logs take about 5 to 10 min to display data.

I don't know how to figure out what is causing it. The web interface is really slow, almost unresponsive.

I have access to the console but I do not have SSH setup.

  • Ok, I am trying to narrow this down. Not sure what is possible.

I have been monitoring the CPU spike all day.

I have a Windows 10 PC running and when I see a spike in CPU usage I unplug that PC from the internet.

When I do this a few min later the avd process goes away and the CPU is at normal level.

So far two times today I have been able to do this.

    Is this a coincidence?

How would I narrow down the process or program that is causing the issue on the PC?

  • I thought I narrowed down the PC but I was wrong. The CPU was maxed out by the avd process and I unplugged the PC I thought was the issue. This did not resolve the problem.

I had to turn off "scan HTTP" rom my firewall rule.

I turned on the option and everything seems to be running fine.

How can I detemrine what is being scanned that is causing the issue?
