XG for home - CPU usage 100% issue

How do I determine what is causing the CPU to go to 100%? I restarted the FW and the CPU jumps to 100%. I can't get it to go any lower.

I am using 17.5.3 MR-3.

Not sure how long this has been going on. The CPU usage is causing the internet browsing to be slow. I turned off web filtering.

The logs take about 5 to 10 min to display data.

I don't know how to figure out what is causing it. The web interface is really slow, almost unresponsive.

I have access to the console but I do not have SSH setup.

  • I may have found the issue.

I upgraded 3 Windows 7 PC's to Windows 10 over the weekend. In doing research I found that there could be issues with the Windows Updates.

I turned off the scan HTTP which allowed the avd to stop using all of the CPU.

I then made changes to the 3 PC's for Windows Updates. Under the advanced options I turned off give me updates for other Microsoft products.

    Turned off automatically download updates.

Under the Delivery Optimization I turned off allow downloads from other PC's.

Under the default firewall rule under Web malware and content scanning I turned on the "Scan HTTP".

I have been monitoring the CPU usage and so far the CPU has been normal.
