Synchronized Application Control HA active-active

Hi, we have set up XG310 HA active-active v17.5 MR3 and managed from Sophos Central. I've searched but cannot find refence to the error "Before you enable Synchronized Application Control you have to either disable HA or switch HA active-active to HA active-passive." There was nothing in the pre-purchase discussions with the supplier or Sophos about this limitation. Has anyone found a workaround for this, obviously we have paid for x2 licenses for HA active-active and do not want to use HA active-passive (that is fundamental  our purchase decision). 

 

My questions is around is this a bug or a feature that does not work and is there planned fix?
