SSL Certificate confusion :|

Will the "AlphaSSL Wildcard Certificate" be ok for the user portal?

I'm in doubt because I don't see Alpha in the certificate authorities.

Will the new certificate have any effect on the SSL VPN configurations (and certificates) that I've already downloaded?

Thanks!

  • Hello ,

You would need to upload the certificate chain using this KB article. As for the SSL VPN certificate, if you have changed the certificate of the SSL VPN configuration then you would need to reconfigure your client. Otherwise no need reconfigure.

  • You should read some articles about your CA Vendor. XG came with couple of CAs pre installed, but there are more.

Maybe, if XG does not have this CA pre installed, other vendors "also struggle with the CA".

Personally never heard of this CA before. Seems to be some niche player.
