I have configure one of my web servers with the WAF (Web Protection FIrewall) module of Sophos XG.
When I enable a protection policy in the WAF rule the web server becomes really slow, like 20 secons in order to move from one page or another.
I have been enable and disable the options in the protections policy but it doesn't matter the only way to get the performance back is disabling everything.
It's extrange because I doubts is a hardware performance issue, the CPU isn't max out, is not even working during those 20-30 or more.
The website is based on NextCloud
Any idea why this is happening and how to fix it?
By the way I hope Sophos XG to move soon to modsecurity 3.X
