Time between pushing config and success

Hi,

the time between pushing config and receiving the config is too long. In my lab one sg125 and one sfm in the same network, it needs about 7 minutes. Thats definitely too long, If we have trouble and doing some changes in config we can't say to our customer one moment please for about 7 Minutes, trying the new config and and then saying sorry but we need another port/app open but can you still wait.

Could you please verify?

Kind regards

Achim

  • Achim,
In our case with some different network scenarios, it is not taking too long time like 7 mins. Even we have checked with heavily configured template cases then also it is not taking too much time. Can you please provide your configuration details.
  • I have a very simple XG and found just making simple change to the configuration takes too long to implement. So, I built a bigger brighter way faster machine. I went from a i3-3220t 2.8ghz to i3-6100 3.8ghz, new MB, faster rmemory and SSD and the delay was the same.

This delay makes debugging very difficult, now if the SFM performs the same way then there will be a significant delay between change and implementation.

    My 10c worth of observations.
