Group Membership Criteria

Hi,

I have discovered following Problems:

- changing criteria for Group Membership is not poosible, there is only a cancel Button

-Criteria for Device Name doesn't allow following signs: - (minus)  _ (underscore) . (dot)

Are these known issues?

Kind regards

Achim

  • 1. Changing criteria for Group Membership is not possible, there is only a cancel Button - It is a known behavior because changing the group criteria will results into improper mapping.
    2. Criteria for Device Name doesn't allow following signs: - (minus) _ (underscore) . (dot) - It is a known behavior, normally criteria to search the device name should be related to name of devices, I think there is not practical use case for criteria of the devices with signs like Minus(-), Underscore(_) or Dot(.)

  • Hi,
for the first ok. That's a good point.

for the second. If you think of a MSP who manages multiple devices for multiple customers, there are reasons for the naimg conventions, like naming the devices with their fqdn xg1.customer1.com xg2.customer1.com xg1.customer2.com and so forth or xg1-customer. But if this is not wished ok, it's just naming, just to know and would be nice to have for better visibility and better reading.

    Kind regards

  • Hi Achim,
But for this I think it would be possible to search by contain as "customer" or "xg" it would satisfy the needs I believe.
