Firewall Rules Applying Confusio

Hi,

I have a very simple query:

1- I want to block 1 Mac list users to not access few websites.

2- I want to give full access to another Mac list users.

And for this i did these steps but not working.

1- Web > Policies > I created a web policy and blocked you tube in it.

2- Firewall > Rules > I created 2 new Rules one Allow full internet and second Rule blocking you tube and i added that Mac list in LAN source.

The blockage rule is on top but its not applying on anyone and i think applying only my second rule which is full internet access.

Hi,

if you want to block a device from accessing the internet you need to create a drop or block rule not an accept rule that you have for rule 1.

If you are only trying to block youtube but allow general internet access then you will need to search the forums because there are a number of posts on a similar subject as yours.

Hi,

I want to block few users from specific websites and i did tried again but same issue.

1- I created a Firewall Rule with Drop option but drop option there is not way to Set that Policy......

Hi,

you block rule should be based on source device/s and destination FQDN group and be the top firewall rule.
