Strange network traffic report

The traffic report reports a trafic that is clearly wrong.

The line has 1 mbit upload and 6 mbit download.

The firewall doesn't not report any warning.

It is an error? It is an attack ?

The internet provider isn't able to tell me the traffic on the line for the day.

Any idea?

  • For which interface is this report
this can be a calculation error, or a network effect such as a broadcast storm.
Even an attack with mutilated packages is conceivable.
Take a look at the reports for this day. The numbers for country or application (or IPS) would have to be high
    too.

  • The interface is one external interface, the firewall has 3 interfaces: linked to internet and one internal.
The country trafic seems to be high to.

Download of two giga are common when doing update or downloading software from msdn

The multimilion gb download is clearlry wrong, is the upload strange.
I don't know broadcast storm or mutilated packages.

The table below seems to show the 1.95 GB is download sent to USA and Italy.
    I am confused and concerned.
