Sophos XG detects almost every email as spam

Hello,

since last friday our Sophos XG detects almost every email as spam or probable spam, even legitimate emails. Seems like the built in filter for incoming mail is detecting the emails as spam.

Please let me know how we can avoid this and still be able to use the chosen filter criteria.

Let me know if additional information is required as well.

Thanks,

Stefan

  • I opened a question about 3 minutes ahead of you on this exact thing. Mine appears to have been from yesterday when it started blocking a load of stuff. We get a few legitimate one blocked a day, however 1/3-1/4 of legitimate ones are getting caught up.

Only thing that has been touched in our filters is some whitelisting. The overall policy hasnt changed in months.

I am glad I am not the only one.

  • Hi,

this is an old issue for some if you are using map/s and there is a fix coming.

Otherwise I suggest you both raise support tickets in any case.

    hi

First signs of the issue appeared 22.03 Friday.

And many of our partners and clients are having similar issues with their spam filters... rejecting our emails for no reason.
Remote Server returned '<mail #5.0.0 smtp; 500 Message denied access due to content filters in effect>'

we are investigating if there were changes to the signature section of our emails. but no.

  • setting the filter to none, fixes the issue... 1 filter less.
