Email Protection

Hi,

i just want to know ,how to make email protection in sophos XG 210 for godaddy emails. Our domain and emails are hosted in Godaddy. Recently we have purchased sophos XG 210,But i dont have any idea to configure this email protection (INBOUND and OUTBOUND)for godaddy. Please  help ....

    Hi,

    Do you have static public IP on Firewall? If not then it seems very problematic solution because we can't believe on DyDNS and it's not guaranteed that DYDNS will update in real time. Every time whenever your Public IP will change you will face some email delay or downtime due to DYDNS updations time required on worldwide DNS updations. And outgoing emails are also treated as SPAM on receiver servers.

     

    If you have a Static Public IP then how to configure:

    1. Make A record for your Firewall Static IP as an example: email.testing.net (1.1.1.1) (1.1.1.1 is the Public IP of your FIrewall Interface)

    2. Make email.testing.net as MX record on your Goddady DNS server with lower priority.

    5. On the Godday Cpanel Email server, change Email routing to "LOCAL" mode.
