Allow 127.0.0.1 for enpass password manager

Hey Guys,

after we now installed the new Sophos XG135 we'd like to allow our users to access 127.0.0.1 running webservers. We're using Enpass-Password Manager which has a browser Plugin but we can't figure out how to configure the firewall correctly so that it works.

I already found a working solution for sophos home -> https://discussion.enpass.io/index.php?/topic/5800-solved-enpass-600-win-10-1803-with-firefox-64-not-working/&tab=comments#comment-13214

but i'm not able to locate the web protection menu inside the XG Webview - or do i have to configure this inside the central?

Thanks in advance,

Sit

  • Hello Sanfant,

It does seem the suggested loopback address has nothing to do with XG firewall when you access the loopback address the local machine will try to communicate itself with the specified port and your local antivirus on your machine have blocked it or not forwarded to the correct application.

Such exceptions could be applied on your antivirus solution on your machine usually under AV or Web scanning.

  • I excluded 127.0.0.1 generally inside the central under general exclutions. Now everything works
