XG firewall

Hello everyone,

So i have configured my firewall to perform my dhcp. but recently its been acting up.

for no reason it stops leasing IPs and unless you restart and restarting the firewall mess

up my client less config. so Please advice and other solution to let the firewall do its work whiles

i find some other device do the dhcp?

    You may isolate the scenario by checking the packets on port 67 and 68. Once you see the DHCP request from the desired machine you can find if the DHCP reply was sent or not. 

    Step1.

    Take a test machine and note down the MAC address.

    Step 2.

    Set it manually to automatic configuration and take a packet capture on the firewall. Refer KBA and use the string port 67 or port 68 -e and check the corresponding Mac address of the machine.
