How to avoid SPOF and split brain of HA link in the XG210 cluster configuration

Hello all,

I have just configured an active-passive two HW node xg210 cluster. I have set up one HA link with straight through cable on port 6 on both nodes as described in the community documentation. However this is a single point of failure and breaking this link brings a split brain scenario. How does XG210 deal with this scenario? Is creating a LAG interface (i.e. port 6 and 3) for HA link to avoid a SPOF officially supported by Sophos? Does that work? Thank you for any hints and experience.
