[Latest KB's] Sophos XG Firewall: How to deploy STAS v2.5

Sophos Transparent Authentication Suite (STAS) version 2.5 is now available for download from the XG Firewall.

Supported deployment modes:

STAS on a Domain Controller (DC).
STAS on a member server (new in 2.5).

Can you do an in-place upgrade from the previous version? What does this version address?

This version provides the additional deployment method of DC-less STAS. Meaning that you can now install STAS on a domain member server and have it read the DC logs remotely.

I'll have to confirm with the team, but I don't believe an in-place upgrade is currently possible. If you already have STAS setup in your environment and don't require this new deployment method, you may not deem a re-deployment necessary.
