Rules to guarantee and limit bandwidth per ip group

Hi everyone,

I am a new comer and admin in sophos and i want to configurate my sophos XG firewall to guarantee and limit bandwidth per ip group 

First of all i want to create a specifics IP groups by needed level (exemple : full , middle Band, low acces) and configurate a guarantee and limit bandwidth rules for this group.

Next if possible create too a default rule for all other ip adress in my network .

    Hi,

    you cannot have a default rule and bandwidth management of individual IP groups.

    Please do a search of the XG forums because there have been a couple of discussions on the limiting bandwidth subject.

    Hello,

    You can create different firewall rules for every group. Like,

    Group 1

    Source Zone: Lan - Dest Zone:Wan

    Source Network:Speedy Group - Dest Network:Any

    Traffic Shaping Policy:Speedy Policy

    Group 2

    Source Zone: Lan - Dest Zone:Wan

    Source Network:Average Group - Dest Network:Any

    Traffic Shaping Policy:Average Policy

    Group 3

    Source Zone: Lan - Dest Zone:Wan

    Source Network:Crawler Group - Dest Network:Any

    Traffic Shaping Policy:Crawler Policy
