xG210 Gateway goes up and down all day long

HI,

I have a Sophos XG210 and I keep getting these messages emailed to me (both up and down status)

Some days I get over 50 emails , some days it is quiet

I have a DSL connection (10/1)  Zyxel P-600 modem

My wan port(2) is PPPOE

MTU 1500, MSS 1452

I have tried playing with the MTU , but did not change anything (a posting I found on the internet)

    Thank you.

    I added a second fail over (openDNS). Will see how that goes.

    I am still having issues with the internet going up and down ( I am not receiving any emails) and I have noticed that when I browse (chrome, Brave) I get "Resolving host..." bottom left and it may take 3-8 seconds before the web page comes up or times out.

    Any thoughts?

    You can try disabling Pharming Protection in Web > General Settings > Advanced Settings for slow browsing.

    Hi,

    my experience with using the google DNS was they are not reliable ping hosts and will cause you issues. You could try your ISP's DNS as a more reliable server.
