xG210 Gateway goes up and down all day long

What is your WAN link manager settings? What is it set to monitor?

When it goes 'DOWN' do you actually notice no internet connectivity?

It does not seem to be any issue with the negotiation and the only thing i would expect that the ping request made to the gateway have failed or not received the reply. 

I would request the next logs using shell access via option 5 > 3. #cat /log/dgd.log | grep Fail

I have attached a picture of my WAN link Manager.

When it goes down, I lose all connectivity to to the internet and my router. I usually just a have to wait until it comes back up

When I did the command, it appears that nothing happened, so I found the log (DGD.log) and tried to view it. Not sure the right command was "trail", but here is what is shows

Could you change the IP to 8.8.8.8 instead of your WAN gateway under failover rule and check if that would improve the scenario?

Hey David,

I have seen similar issues in the past and usually if the ISP is reporting no issues on their end, it is the ISP modem rebooting. This is especially if the outages last 1-3 minutes or so and are consistent on how long they are "down". 

If you have a way of verifying the modem up time, that would rule that out.

Port Up/Down status is checked from ping replies that you selected on Wan Link Manager Failover Rules, if you lose more than 5 ping from that server then XG Acts as internet down, you can try more than one stable ip address on your failover rules
