How do I get rid of broadcast logging?

In Sophos XG looking through the log, all I see is broadcast dropped logging.

I know broadcasts are supposed to be dropped, I don't need to read about it in the log.

How do I turn off logging for dropped broadcast?

  • I am quite the fan of turning of those Log files.

Check System Services - Log Settings.

  • Hi LuCar Toni

    Thank you for answering.

It's a bit weird. Maybe I just need to get used the logging in XG, but here is what happened.

Ok so I looked really really hard in the system setteings - Log settings.
I found "Local ACLs" which was on so I turned it off. Now logging for all my firewall rules was off.
Not what I wanted so I turned it back on. I left it there for a while and then took another look in the log.

Everything is fine now. Logging is on for the rules I want and broadcast logging is gone.

I guess some secret setting needed to be reset or something.

    Anyways, thank you very much.

    EDIT:

    Oh wait... It came back.

So I was tinkering a bit more.
Now System settings - Local ACLs is off and I still get logging for the rules I want.

Logging in XG seems a bit quirky to me. I'll see how it goes.
