Recipient Verification "With Callout" Broken in 17.5 MR3

It looks like the "With Callout" option for Recipient Verification in 17.5 MR3 is broken.

Added a new mailbox on an internal Exchange Server. Internal delivery works, external delivery breaks with the XG bouncing the message with a "550 Address unknown".

Looks like the callout test is never done, as the Exchange Server SMTP Logs don't show a incoming connection from the XG to perform the address verification.

Turn off "With Callout" and the message is delivered successfully.

What Version of Exchange are you running? I tought that Callout Verification is no longer working with latest Versions of MS Exchange?

Exchange Server 2010 SP3 with latest Update Rollup.

The callout isn't being performed - if I telnet to the Exchange Server on port 25 and issue HELO, MAIL FROM and RCPT TO it correctly identifies the recipient as valid.

Callout will also work with 2013 and 2016 if you configure the Transport Agent and a Receive Connector appropriately.

I'd use LDAP if the XG knew how to do a serverless bind.

I Have the same error with 17.5 MR3.

We had to disable "Call out" function because new account do not pass MTA verification :(
