Transparent Skip list not available

Hello

I was trying to just to leave a gaming PC without any kind of web filtering (only IPS).

I see it could be achieved using UTM transparent Skip list, but we do not have that  , if I add to the Web Exceptions list the lan IP, would that be any good ?.

I want to stay away of having to set another interface only for DMZ if possible.

Thank you

  • Hi

    Thanks for reaching out!

There are a couple of ways to achieve this. On the XG, policies are applied on a per-rule basis. I'd advise instead to create a separate firewall rule (LAN - Source Network (Gaming PC IP) to WAN-ANY) without a web policy applied (none) but still having an IPS policy applied.

Make sure that this rule is in a higher priority than your existing LAN to WAN rule. See this KBA for reference.

Hope that helps! Please don't hesitate to reach out to me directly if you had any questions or concerns.
