Primary Gateway

Hi I am trying to understand the purpose of the Primary Gateway in the firewall rules in the new XG.  Does anyone have a basic example or something that would explain this?

    I should add what is the purpose of adding the primary gateway in a firewall rule vs using rewrite source address?  I just don't see the benefit in using the gateway unless this is just for multiple gateway internal LANs?

    Re-writing a source address is MASQ, but you need to point it at an external connection eg gateway. You would not use re-write source address for internal networks.

    You would not use re-write source address if your ISP provides you with a real address range, but you would need a gateway.
