What is causing STAS to drop connections? This is beyond frustrating.

I have a Sophos XG 105 and just enabled AD Sync and STAS for transparent authentication. Everything works at first and then, boom, the connections gets dropped and users lose internet; they disappear from the "Live Users" window on STAS.

I've checked over my configurations multiple times, called tech support, everything is configured as it should be. Has anyone had experience with this and what has the fix been?  I'm running STAS on a Server 2012 R2 DC, it passes all the testing, etc. In order for users to reconnect they have to lock the PC and then log in again and they get internet back.

  • Checked all that, am on v17.5.  Interestingly enough, I was checking my Windows 10 event log and noticed some events that led me to the "Netlogon" service.  I went to the service and saw that it was set to Manual and stopped.  I set it back to automatic and started the service and haven't had a disconnect since.  Will continue to monitor and report back.
