Where do I find the mail policy guide that lived in the Copernicus beta forum?

Currently having another go at getting the pop3/imap policy working. At this stage nothing goes through the mail policy.

Guidance from someone that actually has the incoming pop3/imap policy working would be good.

Thank you

Ian

  • The concept is the same as you would surf on internet. Traffic in coming from LAN Computers to Web Server. The same works for POP/IMAP. If you want to allow pop3/imap for internal computer to Mail server, you will open a LAN to WAN Policy rule.

  • Hi Luk,
I suppose the original request or notification that the userid is on line originates from the LAN.

I have to disable pop3s and imaps scanning to get mail flowing. Nothing shows in the logs as a result though.

Next challenge s to block the nuisance traffic.

  • This is my policy rule. Anyway the IMAP/S is working for me while POP3/S is not. Outlook stacks on "download email list" and nothing happens.

I have sent email with log to developers while I was using beta2.

Hope this help! Anyway spam is not blocked (remember that and vote on feature.astaro.com).

  • Hi Luk,
The policy works to the extent that traffic is passing through it. The daily report shows imap and pop3 traffic, not any mail. I added the clientless group to the mail policy.
But then again I have the same issue on the UTM.

    Still thinking about this issue.
