DNS Lookup Failed

I have created three static DNS one is 192.168.1.11 for the Windows Server, second is 192.168.1.1 The firewall, and third is 8.8.4.4 google dns, when I run a test name lookup it fails at all three of them, do you know what may cause this.

Thank you

  • Hello Nikolaos,

    1.  Could you share where the testing is done? On XG firewall, Client machine etc.
    2. Please share with us the configuration of your DHCP server and DNS Server.
    3. Run packet capture on Port 53, under Diagnostics, Packet capture and enter click on configure and unser the field "Enter BPF string" use "port 53" and turn on the capture.
    4. Check if the DNS request is forwarded to the configured WAN port or not.
