Sluggish UI Performance?

I've just installed XG Home on a Protectli box for my SOHO. The UI is just painfully slow when jumping from page to page. Normally I would say it's my hardware but I also manage a pair of 550's at work and the UI is painful...not as much so but still slow from what I would expect given the system specs. Please tell me I'm doing something wrong here. Or is this just the way Sophos XG is? I've come front a Sonicwall/Fortigate background and never experience such poor management through the UI.

please provide details of your hsrdware.

I was running a low power (10w) quad core atom (1.86ghz) and found the UI very slow. I upgraded to the box in my signature and most functions are quite quick. The exceptions being anything that is involved with reporting. seem to take about 5 minutes to update after you open a tab eg wireless performance.

Also the GUI downloads about 2MB of code before the logon screen is ready.
