Backup Mode: Email doesn't seem to work

Anyone been able to get emailed backups to work? attempted to configure tonight and keep getting "Backup could not be sent due to incorrect server configuration".

Confirmed my SMTP settings are correct and my test emails are being sent

just tested with latest update, still not working. alerts and the test are good, just no backups.

I'm also using AWS to send these emails

Home user, mail backups are working even after MR1 installed.
