Sophos XG with RED Deployment,

Dear Guru,

I'd like ask you one question about Sophos XG with RED Deployment. There have one HQ and 30 Branches. I'll use Sophos XG 450 and RED 15. But, One thing all the branches, they don't have the internet line. but they have MPLS Network and can reach to each other. For example like, there have one Reachable IP address which is (192.168.20.15) and all the branches can ping to this MPLS IP and can reach there. so, my question is our sophos RED can deploy on this environment or not ? Thank you so much.

This should work fine.  On the branch side, ensure the RED is in between the MPLS router and the LAN network.  Ensure that the RED device can contact the internet for auto-provisioning to work, however I would recommend that you use USB provisioning.  Ensure that the ISP who handles the MPLS allows port 3400/3410 UDP on that network.

Now on the XG side, the MPLS router will need to connect to the XG as a "WAN" type interface.  When configuring the RED clients configuration, you will use this IP as the firewall IP/hostname for the RED to connect to.  This will tell the RED devices at the branches to connect to the XG using this IP.  If this IP is routing fine in the MPLS network, you will not have a problem.
