Home users and providing uPNP access to specific devices

Hi folks,

i have been trying to enable a Panasonic home device which requires uPNP for remote access. I have disabled uPNP on all my devices that are configurable.

I have created a seperate network/DHCP/SSID for the IoT devices that are currently installed and working with specific services and clienteles users.

The Panasonic requires the in-house controlling device to be on the same network, I tried using a firewall rule to allow the general network to access the Panasonic device, did not work.

So the question for the home users who are serious about protecting their network and devices are you creating specific networks for your devices that require access using uPNP?

Ian
