Rules for static routing

Dept. A is on a 192.168.0.xx and needs access to server in Dept. B with a 192.168.54.xx certain IP for sever. Static route has been added to firewall in Dept. A but still can't access fully. What other rules need to be applied to allow all traffic from 54.xx back top 0.xx?

  • Hi,

    rather than a static route, try a firewall rule which you can tie down to just the server and specific ports if you feel you need to increase security.

    source LAN -> Network (0.xx) -> destination LAN -> server 54.xx -> allow (all ports) -> log.
