Creation of known applications based on port use

Hi all, not sure where to put this, but please feel free to move it if there's somewhere more appropriate.

I've been messing around with my firewall and I have one device inside my network which I use to connect into Usenet which runs over TCP/563 using SSL. Currently, Sophos is detecting this traffic as "Other Applications -> NA" under "Current Activities -> Live Connections".

I was just wondering if it was possible to create an application that identifies this port in the section? It's purely out of visibility purposes, because if you look at the actual traffic contained within the connections within "Other Applications -> NA" there is a load of other ports that are currently uncategorised and I want to separate them out.

    Hi,

    what you are looking for in services not applications. While you can create a service the name does not always appear in reports.

    I have not found away of getting the services I create to appear as their name in the application list. Yes, I know very confusing, create service for an application.
