Live Users - No clients show

So far I have

 

Using v17.5

Sophos Central with EDR installed on Clients
Central Synchronisation and Security Heartbeat on
Authentication, Servers - added AD Server
Authentication, Services - ticked AD server
Done a sync on AD groups
Gone to Port 6090 and tested and users tested appear within Authentication, Users
Amended rule and ticked Known users


When I add the tick for match known users within rule, that client can no longer access the internet (LAN to wan rule). Remove the check for match known users, all is good again.

Troubleshooting ideas?

    If you want AD integration and get users from AD you will need to use STAS.

    If you want Sophos Central integration and get users from Sophos Central you will need SFOS 17.5 and Endpoint with EDR (beta) on clients.

     

    Seems you did both which is ok but not necessary. So just look at the way you want it to work.

     

    What is the version of Sophos Endpoint on your clients?

    Are the users and computers listed in Sophos Central?

    Check the logviewer / authentication. Do you see "failed authentication attempts"?
