STAS Versions - 2.2.1.0 vs 2.2.3.0

Hey all,

Anyone know what is the difference between these two versions of STAS?

I am running 2.2.1.0 on my DC's but after updating to SFOS 17.5 I can see 2.2.3.0 is now available.

Should I update or "if it aint broke  - don't fix it"

  • The only time I've had the need to upgrade was to address the lack of threads issue, if you've not gotten that problem I don't see much reason to go through the process. Having said that I've upgraded a few clients without a problem, you just install over the top of the existing one and all the current settings were preserved.

I've never seen any release notes for the STAS client and updates just appear rather than announced, I've never worked out why that is the case.

The Dead Entry timeout is still broken and won't be sorted out till v3 is released, so moving up these minor versions won't fix that one if you are having DE problems.
