Upgrade issue

It does not work like Windows does. 

17.1.2 and 17.1.3 have known issues like a corrupt garner service. This can lead to high memory utilization.

You should update to 17.1.4 or maybe to 17.5.

Two issues have already been high lighted by Sophos and they have already recommended upgrade from 17.1.1 MR 3 to 17.1.4 MR 4.

• NC-38176 [Base System] Garner memory corruption in Heartbeat plugin
• NC-39687 [IPS] IPS log filling up with entries and causing problems for legitimate traffic

17.1.4 MR 4 is released  in stages. I will install full released version of 17.1.4 MR 4

I luckily didn't have an issue as I never installed 17.1.2 or 17.1.3. Read about the problems in the community before updating. It's syed faraz having issues.

But as I said 17.5 seems to run fine so I suggest to everybody who is on 17.1.2 or 17.1.3 to install 17.1.4 or 17.5.

I'm pretty sure syed faraz can solve the issue with the update / upgrade.

Waiting for the full released version for xg of MR 4 or 5. Thanks for your suggestion. 

17.1.4 and 17.5 are fully released!

If not shown in XG login at Sophos and download from there.

Installed 17.4 and waiting for 17.5 master version. It is currently in a Staging process and will be roll out to the appliances said by Sophos.
