I believe you just issue the same command to toggle it off.

And is there a way to verify that?

Running the "service -S" command will list all the services and their state.

Indeed this works:

XG310_WP02_SFOS 17.1.3 MR-3# service -S | grep strongswan

strongswan           RUNNING,DEBUG

strongswan-ctl       UNTOUCHED

XG310_WP02_SFOS 17.1.3 MR-3# service strongswan:debug -ds nosync

200 OK

XG310_WP02_SFOS 17.1.3 MR-3# service -S | grep strongswan

strongswan           RUNNING

strongswan-ctl       UNTOUCHED
