Sophos ddns service and HA-systems

Question

Dear ladies and gentlemen, since this weekend i have my HA-system up and running. But it seems to be a broblem with my sophos ddns-hostname, when i'm running on the standby maschine. On primary with the serial number used for ddns registration everything is working, but when running on my standby maschine, ddns tells me that the hostname is already in use. Yes clear for me, because the service is set up via the serial of the firewall, and when i'm on the backup system ddns isn't updated corretly due to the failure with a different serial. Do you have a solution for such a problem? Thanks,

Thanks for the KB article. And it's configured in this way, but it's not working when i switchover the system. 
 I think you had a typo: You wrote " It is mentioned in the KBA that it does support in HA Mode. " But it does not support. ;-) 
 
 You have now configured Sophos XG Firewall as a DDNS server. 
 
 NOTE : This feature is not supported in High Availability mode. 
 
 Is there a plan to add this feature also in HA mode? br Herbert

Hi, 
 This Feature was build for small appliances, this is one of the limitation for no HA support. 
 Workaround could be some kind of DynDNS account. 
 This feature relies on the sn.
