XG 310 HA Mac OS TunnelBlick and Remote Desktop Manager RDP session Problem.

Hi;

I am using XG 310 HA on my data center.

I can connect to the XG 310 device over SSL VPN with Tunnelblick 3.7.8beta02 (build 5170). And my SSL VPN connection never disconnects.

Also I am using Remote Desktop Manager for connect RDP to servers.

My OS is Mac Os Mojave.

When I connect to My server over SSL VPN (Tunnelblick) and using Remote Desktop manager for  start RDP is connecting successfully, BUT If I don't process nothing on RDP connection, the connection is broken and reconnected, if I do some process (these operations include playing the mouse) RDP connection not broken.

So I tested windows ssl vpn and windows rdp connection, and I've never had a problem.

Do you have any ideas?

    Can you explain this in more detail? You do not process nothing?

  • Tunnelblick connect to my xg 310 and SSL VPN traffic is well.

    and also I can connect my servers with Remote Desktop Manager program (for MAC OS)

    This is where the problem begins;

    If I work on this server (browsing, file or etc., or any process on this server, OR --> any mouse navigating ) Remote Desktop Connection does not disconnect. But when I stopped working or navigating with the mouse, Remote Desktop Connection is interrupted in 5-10 seconds and re-connect. During this time, the VPN connection is not broken in any way.

    But if I working windows client I'm not having these problem.

    By the way I have 30 different SSL VPN connection configuration inside to my tunnelblick and I'm only having this problem in two.

  • I found something new !!

    When I trun off XG 310 Advanced Threat Protection, the problem's fixed.

    My XG 310 ATP settings;

    policy -> log only

    Network / Host Exceptions -> 192.168.44.0/24

    ATP is only logging not block.

    By the way I added my SSL VPN IP subnet ATP Exceptions but I've never been able to contact the servers this time.

    When I trun off ATP problem is fixed.

    Is this the right way to solve the problem?

    Because is this the right way, how can I use ATP ?

  • You should check different logs while doing this. Logviewer --> IPS, ATP etc. pp.

    ATP simply unifies different modules and check those traffic (like DNS etc.)
