Best Protection for an SQL Server

Hi,

We have an SQL Server 2017 on an Windows Server in our Environment. This SQL is the Database for our Webserver and in an own DMZ. The Communication to the Webserver goes over VPN.

My Question NOW is with which IP or Firewall rules can i protect the SQL as good as possible .

On the Windows Server we have an Sophos Endpoint Running.

What else can we do against things like SQL Injektion.
