Can someone tell me why Sophos XG's first time setup now bridges the LAN and WAN into a br0 interface? I have to skip the entire setup just to get it to quit doing it.

Hi,
I would expect you have answered the question about bridge etc incorrectly. You are asked how you would like your XG configured as part of the initial setup.

Hi Greg,
sounds correct. What browser are you using? I use IE when doing builds because the PC is connected to the shared display I use for the XG console.

The reason is explained in the plain text above in routing wizard.
(Software Appliance - If you use a hardware appliance, all interfaces are "selected" per default. You have to disable this.)

Yes for sure.
It is just a default setting, which we wanted to set for the customer.
Most of them are happy with this, because they do not have to do anything in Case of initial setup.
Smaller boxes are most likely to bridge together.
As far as i know, we will build a extra popup for this in the wizard. Because in XG you have to do some kind of extra steps to break the Bridge, which is not nice.
