STAS question: what happens when users disconnects from wired network and connects to wireless?

What happens if a user got logged on with STAS single sign on (STAS agent on AD controller). He then has to move to another meeting room, so he unplugs the cable and starts roaming the wireless network instead. How will STAS be aware of this IP change?

  • Should simply work.

Because STAS is able to log multiple IPs per User.

So basically if you change the network, a event log entry should appear on the DC and STAS will collect this IP to the user.

Most of the time, the struggle starts, if the clients has multiple network connections (docking stations etc.) with LAN and WLAN at the same time. But this should no problem for XG at all, because it stores both IPs with one User and simply use the same policies for both IPs.
