SFM and iView - no updates any more? -> DEAD

Hi,

today I'am getting the information that iView is not getting any new updates or so on, they is a cloud based "iView" they're working on.
Okay and what's happend to the SFM?

Many of us using this tools to mange our customers and we need a roadmap what Sophos is planking do to with these tools.
If these products are dead, I have to move to CFM and that step is not working overnight.

So please Sophos give us a roadmap and the savety we need for further planning.

  • With these sort of posts, it makes me concerned about what is around the corner with Sophos.

Our licenses run out at the end of 2019 for our 4xHA SG330's and we are starting to think about it now although it's early doors.

Midway through next year, we will have made our decision and that will be the point of no return that we keep Sophos or drop it.

Contenders at the moment are Cisco (we came from ASA's to UTM's) or Fortigates

  • They're planning to get more and more services in the cloud. Thats okay, it's the where everything is moving today.

The only thing I really miss a clear communication!!

So what If I invest budget in our SFM infrastructure and than Sophos moves the kill-switch.

To make it clear -> Other vendors have the same problems^^

  • I'm so old and don't trust that cloud! The larger things become, they become more of a target.

When the world is falling down, our organisation still needs to run hence why I prefer separation. Yes, we could be taken down but it would only be us and our partners/backups would take over until we're back up.

If we were all in the same boat, it would be a nightmare.
