Is SCFM ever going anywhere?

Does anyone know if any progress has been made to improve SCFM or is it a dead stick? I cannot tell one bit if anything has changed in over a year now.

Is there a way to auto update the firmware of the XG's we manage?

Is there a fix to the numbers showing XG's offline/online/sync'd yet? My numbers in this system have never made sense and it almost feels pointless to use it at all.

Seems to be abandoned like iView. Not happy with our purchase of either.

Oh I hope it's not abandoned. It's the #1 reason I started using the XG. In hopes it would be like a Ubiquiti Unifi UTM router.

Sophos Central Management of XG Firewall

With v17.5, XG Firewall is also joining Sophos Central. The Early Access Program for Sophos Central Management of XG Firewall is expected to start soon.

You will be able to manage XG Firewall from within Sophos Central along with all your other Sophos Central products. And there’s a few great new features coming along with Sophos Central Management of XG Firewall:

Secure access and management with single-sign-on through Sophos Central from anywhere

Backup management and storage for your regularly scheduled firewall backups

Firmware update management to make multiple firewall updates easy

Light-touch deployment to enable easy remote setup of a new Firewall

So as far this plans can replace CFM in the long run. If you take a look at the beta, if you enable CM (central management), it will disable CFM (Cloud firewall manager).

So would suggest to open a thread in the EAP Sub Forum about the plans to get a PM Feedback.

Yep, I have a virtual device running the beta for testing. While Sophos Central offers a glimmer of hope it doesn't change the fact SFM is pretty much abandoned. Central will likely present its own share of new security concerns as well. The promised SSL-VPN and STAS improvements are likely going to determine whether or not we stay with the XG platform as a whole.

This is what I was referring to. The MSP version Sophos hosts themselves. Not the one we can host ourselves.

I am not part of the beta. Can't wait for it to be released. Wasn't it supposed to be released like 2 months ago?
