Port Forwarding

i have an XG85 and I have setup port forwarding for my cameras. In the log it shows that the rule is allowed and my app connects but I get no display. In the rules, I can see that there is some traffic coming and going but it is very slow.

Is there a way to check if something blocks the speed of streaming videos?

Would it be possible to share a screenshot of how your rule is configured? This way, we would be able to provide feedback regarding any features that could be causing an impact on throughput.

four rules created. Two for 37777 UDP/TCP and two for 3778 UDP/TCP. All are as above but with different ports at the services.

Hi Christos,

Your rule seems like a simple DNAT rule with no IPS that could be causing overhead to the connection.

For context, what is your internet connection rated for? Are you able to perform some bandwidth testing? Is this performance issue only experienced with this specific camera traffic?

speedtest.net rates my connection at 60/10 Mbps, which is what I pay for. At the time that I was testing the cameras, there was no one else at the office but I haven't had any complains about slow browsing from anyone.

It seems that I can't even connect locally using the camera application. This leads me to believe that something on the firewall is blocking me. Ports report as open but there is no video coming through.

Is there a way to either disable firewall functions for one IP (192.168.1.150) or to disable services temporarily so I can check this out?

Do you know, which protocol is used?

Sounds like some kind of broadcast protocol which is simply not be forwarded by XG.

The ports are specified as UDP/TCP in the camera software and DVR system
