Multiple RDP Port Forwarding

We had a normal router, and we were using port forwarding, we connect from outside to many machines at the office using RDP,

So for example:

If we connect from outside to WANIP:1111 it forwards to 10.0.0.1:3389

If we connect from outside to WANIP:2222 it forwards to 10.0.0.2:3389

Now we moved to Sophos XG115 (SFOS 17.1.3 MR-3),  so I need to create one service like this picture attached:

NOTE: I also tried with Source Port: 3389 (not a range)

In Firewall, I added a business Rule, See Next Image:

Licensing Machine defined:

Please notice that the second field of "Mapping Port" after the "to" is still disabled.

Also, as I understand I need to create a rule for each of the forwarding I am trying to do.

Hope you can tell me what I am doing wrong.

  • Hi Baha,

Your business rule is configured to listen on WANIP:3389 (as defined by your RDP service)

If your Licensing Machine is listened on port 3389, then there's no need to check the box "Change Destination Port".

If you want your WANIP to listen on port 1111, than modify your RDP service (change the destination port to 1111). In this case you need to check the box "Change Destination Port" and add the mapped port 3389

The second field after the "to" is not needed if you forward to a single port.

Hopefully this clarifies thing for you. Good luck

  • Finally a working solution.. Thanks a lot :)
