Urgent problem with printing large files via VPN Site2Site

Hi together,

we have a Site2Site Tunnel between XG and UTM. All traffic is allowed between both networks.

Behind UTM is a terminalserver

Behind XG a printer

So printing normally is fine from terminalserver (behind UTM) to printer (behind XG).

Often (not always) printing doesn't work and I see entries in FW log:

from terminalserver to printer port 9100 Invalid TCP RST...

Ideas?

  • Hi GernotMeyer,

Whenever you are not able to print, check #1 in my troubleshooting guide and verify the packet filter and drop-packet-capture logs on the printer's IP address, if the packet is forwarded to the printer. Also, check web filter and application filter logs for the destination IP address.

    Thanks,

  • Sachin, thanks for reply and sorry for delayed answer.

I used Paket Capture to look what'S happening and figured out that dropped pakets do not have a IP header and neither in nor out interface:

Source and DEstination MAC addresses are empty:

    Ethernet Header

    Source MAC Address:

    Destination MAC Address:

    Ethernet Type IPv4 (0x800)

Generally source and destionation IP are always valid and correct.

    Any more ideas?
