Basicguard oder Fullguard

Hallo,

für das Gerät SG 105 wird als Lizenz sowohl Basicguard als auch Fullguard angeboten. in einer Feature-Matris, die ich hier (https://utm-shop.de/information/technische-informationen/unterschiede-zwischen-basicguard-und-fullguard) gefunden habe, wird ersichtlich, dass SMTP nicht mit AV geprüft werden. POP3 wohl schon, aber mit dem Hinweis Single-AV-Engine.

Was hat die Single-AV-Engine für Auswirkungen? Ist sie Langsamer, das eingehende E-Mail nur nacheinander gescannt werden? Oder ist nur ein E-Mail-Account scanbar?

Letztlich soll das Netzwerk vor Angriffen von Außen geschützt werden. Es wird im Netzwerk keine Web-Server, FTP-Server oder sonstiges betrieben. Lediglich ein E-Mail-Server, der aber über POP3/SMTP die Mails holt und sendet, ist vorhanden.
Es sollen direkte Hackerattacken abgewehrt werden, aber auch eingehende Mails bzw. der Web-Traffic auf Viren, Trojander etc. geprüft werden. VPN-Zugänge gibt es keine.

Reicht dafür Basicguard aus? Oder ist eine Fullguard-Lizenz notwendig und einen solchen Schutz zu gewährleisten?

Leider finde ich im Internet keine zureichenden Informationen und hoffe ihr könnt mir bei der Entscheidung helfen.

    Erstmal herzlich willkommen hier in der Community !

    (Sorry, my German-speaking brain isn't creating thoughts at the moment. [:(])

    BasicGuard is what allows low-cost startup.  Because the renewals are only for one year, it actually costs more over six years than two three-year FullGuard subscriptions.

    In general, I don't recommend the 105 unless you have five or fewer people behind it and don't need fast internet downloads.  If you can't get good advice from a high-volume reseller like UTM-Shop, you might be better off asking Sophos for a strong, local Gold Solution Partner.  I always suggest that folks buy from someone that has skin in the game.  You might pay a little more, but you might save money by avoiding a mistake.

    BasicGuard: 1 year = 171 € * 6 = 1026 €
    FullGuard: 3 years = 948 € * 2 = 1896 €
    Where is FullGuard cheaper for 6 years?

    In fact, it is exactly 5 Workstation in the company.
    Of course, it would be better if Sophos offered more and more detailed information about the different licenses on its German website.
